Joe Tracy is a composer and arranger originally from Buffalo, NY. He graduated from Orchard Park High School where he performed as a cellist with the symphonic orchestra, concert orchestra, pit orchestra, and as a percussionist with the concert band and marching band. Joe received a BS in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Fredonia and soon after relocated to Indiana where he completed his MBA at Anderson University. In addition to his business education, Joe has taken various music theory courses and composition lessons at Butler University, studying with Michael Schelle and Frank Felice.
In 2015, Joe was commissioned by the Chester County Pops Orchestra (Philadelphia, PA) to compose a piece to celebrate the ensembles 10th anniversary. "Celebration Fanfare" received an exciting three-night premiere and wonderful reception. Other commissions have included various marching band and indoor percussion shows, an arrangement for Barack Obama's 2013 Inaugural Ceremony, and orchestral arrangements for NBC's "The Voice."
Joe resides in Noblesville, IN with his wife Jessie and two dogs, Tux and Leo. In his free time he enjoys volunteering at Drum Corps International and Bands of America and attending performances by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Indiana Wind Symphony.
